The Machu Picchu and Manu Package from Cusco 6 Days is a unique experience that combines two of the most impressive destinations in Peru in a single trip: the archaeological legacy of the Inca Empire and the incomparable biodiversity of the Peruvian Amazon. From the historic city of Cusco, former capital of the Inca Empire, you will begin a journey that will take you through the Sacred Valley, where culture, architecture, and ancestral traditions are still alive, until reaching the emblematic citadel of Machu Picchu, considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
This fascinating Machu Picchu and Manu Package continues to the Manu National Park, one of the natural areas with the greatest biodiversity on the planet and recognized by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve. Throughout the journey, you will experience a gradual change of landscapes, from imposing mountains and Andean valleys to cloud forests and tropical rainforest, where nature is displayed at its finest with a great variety of flora and wildlife.
This tour is a perfect combination of history, culture, and adventure in the Peruvian rainforest, which includes visits to Inca archaeological sites, panoramic train journeys, exploration of the Amazon rainforest, river navigation, guided hikes, and wildlife observation in its natural habitat. It is ideal for those seeking a complete experience in Peru, integrating the best of Machu Picchu and the Manu rainforest in a single carefully organized itinerary.

On this day, you will have breakfast early and visit the Pico de Oz birdwatching viewpoint, then you will be transferred to Atalaya to navigate the Alto Madre de Dios River; where you will take a walk to Cocha Machuwasi with a canoe ride and wildlife observation, and in the evening participate in a night excursion to spot nocturnal wildlife before staying overnight at the lodge.

On the first day of the tour, you will start early, at 7:00 a.m., with pickup from your hotel or the Cusco airport in private transportation with prior coordination. From there, a fascinating journey toward the Sacred Valley begins, one of the most complete routes for those who want to connect the history of the Incas with the adventure to Machu Picchu and the Amazon rainforest.
The first stop is Chinchero, a beautiful Andean town where many traditions are still alive. Here you will visit a local weaving center, where you can see how llama and alpaca wool is processed and transformed into beautiful colorful garments using ancestral techniques.
Afterward, we explore the archaeological site, where there is a colonial church built on top of the ancient palace of the Inca Pachacútec. It is a very special place because it blends Inca history with the colonial period, all surrounded by incredible Andean landscapes.
During the visit, the guide will explain in a simple way how the Incas took advantage of the fertile valley land to develop their own agricultural techniques, perfectly adapting to nature.
After a 25-minute drive, you will arrive at Moray, known as the agricultural laboratory of the Incas. For approximately 40 minutes, you will walk through this complex of circular terraces, each with different microclimates. Here, people learned how to cultivate crops in diverse conditions. An unmissable stop for those who enjoy Inca history and innovation.
The next stop, only 25 minutes away, is the famous Maras Salt Mines. These geometric pools have been used since pre-Inca times to obtain salt through solar evaporation. The contrast of colors and the landscape make this place one of the most photogenic sites in the Sacred Valley. There is time to listen to the guide, take photos, and observe how locals still extract salt in the traditional way.
After so much exploration, it is time to recharge your energy. In Urubamba, after a 20-minute drive, you will enjoy a buffet lunch with fresh ingredients in a local restaurant run by farmers from the area.
In the afternoon, the journey continues to Ollantaytambo, an ancient Inca capital, surrounded by mountains with archaeological remains. Here you will visit the main temple and ceremonial sites. The place preserves an impressive architecture and offers incredible views. There is also free time to take photos and enjoy the atmosphere of the town.
Finally, you will board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes (at 15:30, 16:40, or 19:00), with spectacular views of rivers, snow-capped mountains, and high jungle. Upon arrival, a representative will wait at the station and accompany you to the hotel (Horizonte or similar).
Before resting, a brief informative talk about the visit to Machu Picchu the next day is provided.

The second day begins very early. After breakfast at the hotel, you board a tourist bus that in 40 minutes ascends along a mountain road to the entrance of the Inca citadel. From this point begins one of the most anticipated experiences of the trip: the visit to Machu Picchu.
Upon arrival, the tour guide will be waiting to provide assistance at the entrance. Authorities will verify the entrance ticket along with each visitor’s original passport.
Once inside, you will be able to admire the first rays of sunlight illuminating the impressive stone structures. The guided tour lasts approximately two hours and begins with a panoramic view of the citadel, ideal for understanding the magnitude and historical value of the site.
During the visit, the most emblematic points are explored, such as the main square, the Temple of the Sun, various ceremonial sites, temples, royal quarters, and the famous solar clock (Intihuatana). After the guide’s explanation, you will have approximately one hour of free time to explore at your own pace, take photographs, or simply enjoy the surroundings.
For those who have reserved in advance the hike to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, the guide will provide clear instructions about the starting point of the corresponding trail.
At the end of the visit, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant or, if you prefer, relax in the town’s natural hot springs.
In the afternoon, depending on the Machu Picchu entrance schedule, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo (14:45, 16:20, or 19:00), once again enjoying the scenery. At the station, a driver will be waiting with a sign or will contact you via WhatsApp to coordinate the transfer.
The final stretch to Cusco is done in private transportation and takes approximately 2 hours. The arrival time will depend on the train schedule, but in total, the return takes about 4 hours between train and vehicle. Upon arrival, we will take you directly to the Hotel Turiwasi or accommodation of your choice, with prior coordination.

The Manu National Park Tour 4 Days / 3 Nights begins very early, around 5:30 a.m., when we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. From that moment, your fascinating exploration journey begins, crossing landscapes that gradually change from the Andes to the lush tropical rainforest of Manu National Park.
After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of travel, we arrive at the Ninamarca Chullpas, an important archaeological complex located in the transition between the highlands and the Peruvian Amazon. Here, the guide will provide a clear explanation about the history, function, and Andean worldview related to these ancient funerary towers, offering valuable cultural context at the beginning of the journey.
You will continue for about 20 minutes to the picturesque colonial town of Paucartambo, considered the gateway to the Cultural Zone of Manu. In this charming place, known for its architecture, traditions, and folklore, you will enjoy a breakfast in a local home and then take a guided walk of approximately 30 minutes, ideal for learning about its history and lifestyle.
From Paucartambo, the journey continues for 40 minutes to Acjanaco, the highest point of the route and the main entrance to Manu National Park, recognized as a Biosphere Reserve. Here you will complete the official registration at the control post and take a short walk to the Manu viewpoint, from where you can appreciate impressive views of the cloud forest and the mountains that protect one of the areas with the greatest biodiversity on the planet.
From this point, we will begin the descent into the jungle, making strategic stops and short walks for wildlife observation. During this excursion, you will have the opportunity to see quetzals, trogons, toucans, and many other species. With some luck, you may also spot the spectacled bear, an emblematic endangered species.
Upon arriving at San Pedro, our cook will be waiting with a delicious lunch. Then you will continue for a few minutes to the Cock-of-the-Rock viewpoint, where you can observe the national bird of Peru in its natural habitat. In this area, it is also possible to see monkeys among the vegetation.
Finally, we will continue to Pilcopata until reaching Bamboo Lodge, where you will be accommodated in a private room with bathroom, shower, and beds with mosquito nets. At night, you will enjoy a dinner and a brief informative talk about the next day’s activities before resting surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.
This first day combines history, culture, and wildlife, marking the perfect beginning of an authentic expedition to the Peruvian Amazon.

The second day begins early, waking up to the natural sounds of the Peruvian Amazon jungle, an authentic experience that will immediately connect you with nature. After breakfast, we will depart by vehicle for approximately 40 minutes to the Pico de Oz Birdwatching Viewpoint, a strategic point for birdwatching in Manu.
In this privileged location, it is possible to observe hummingbirds, toucans, and various species of monkeys moving freely among the trees. In addition, you will have the option of taking a short canoe ride, ideal for photographing the nature of Manu.
We then continue the journey to the Atalaya Port, where you will be provided with rubber boots before starting navigation. Here begins one of the most exciting stages of the trip: you will board a boat on the Alto Madre de Dios River for approximately 40 minutes, progressively entering the tropical rainforest.
Upon arriving at the second lodge, you will settle into your room and enjoy a short rest. Afterwards, we will cross the river to reach Cocha Machuwasi, taking a walk of approximately 30 minutes until reaching the lagoon, where you will board a traditional wooden canoe.
During the tour of the lagoon and from the observation tower, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the great diversity of wildlife, such as shanshos (hoatzins), aquatic birds, wild boars, and, with some luck, caimans and capybaras in their natural habitat.
At nightfall, we return to the lodge while taking a night excursion in Manu, one of the most impressive activities of the day. This walk will allow you to discover another side of the jungle, where it is possible to spot caimans, nocturnal birds, monkeys, insects, amphibians, and reptiles that emerge only after sunset.
Back at the lodge, you will enjoy a comforting dinner and a well-deserved rest, ending a day full of adventure and direct contact with Amazonian nature.

On the third day you will start very early, boarding our boat to navigate upstream along the impressive Madre de Dios River. During approximately 1 hour of navigation, we will enter the Amazon until reaching the parrot clay lick, one of the most spectacular natural settings in the Manu National Park.
We position ourselves strategically about 80 meters in front of the clay lick, from where you will have the opportunity to witness flocks of parrots, parakeets and other birds that gather to feed on the mineral-rich clay. Occasionally, it is also possible to observe eagles and birds of prey flying over the area. While you enjoy this unique spectacle, we will have breakfast surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.
Then we will begin an exploration hike of approximately 3 hours within the tropical rainforest. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will be able to observe wild animals, exotic birds and learn about the impressive giant trees that sustain this unique ecosystem.
Around 2:00 p.m., we will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon you will have free time to rest or participate in an optional activity of traditional fishing in the Madre de Dios River, where it is possible to catch species such as catfish, paco, witas and sardines.
At nightfall, around 6:00 p.m., you will begin a night walk in the rainforest, one of the most exciting experiences of the trip. During this activity you will discover the most mysterious side of the Amazon, with the possibility of observing night monkeys, birds, spiders, owls, frogs and snakes, species that emerge after sunset.
Finally, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a dinner and a well-deserved rest, ending a day full of adventure, nature and direct contact with one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet.

The day begins with the natural sounds of the rainforest, offering a unique experience to start your last day of Amazon adventure.
You will take a short walk around the surroundings, paying attention to bird and monkey observation in their natural habitat. Afterwards, you will enjoy the last breakfast at the lodge, surrounded by the lush nature of Manu.
Then you will prepare for the return and board the boat heading to the port of Atalaya, where the private transportation will be waiting. From there, you will begin the return trip by bus to Cusco, with a stop in Acjanaco to enjoy a comforting lunch.
Finally, the tour concludes with arrival in the city of Cusco, at approximately 6:00 p.m., where you will be comfortably dropped off at your hotel.

Si tienes alguna pregunta sobre tu turs te ayudan en todoPosted on Tripadvisor Max SVerified Iquitos 5 dagars djungeläventyr. Posted on Tripadvisor Jean CVerified Great tour of the sacred valley This was a wonderful tour.
