Led by local experts, this adventure combines exploration, direct contact with nature, and authentic cultural experiences, ideal for those seeking relaxation, learning, and enjoying the Amazon with comfort, staying in selected hotels throughout the tour.
Activities included during the tour:
On this day, you can have breakfast at the hotel and, once ready, the guide will pick you up at 8:30 a.m. From there, we will begin the tour through the main streets of the city.
Hotel departure: 9:00 a.m., heading to Belén.
The first stop is the famous Belén Market, considered the heart of Iquitos. Its aisles are filled with the aroma of Amazonian fruits, medicinal herbs, and typical regional dishes. Here, unique products such as paiche and gamitana can be observed, along with exotic meats like alligator, turtle, or majaz, essential ingredients of the local cuisine. More than just a market, this place offers a cultural experience reflecting daily life and customs of the Amazon.
After the market tour, the day continues with an approximately 30-minute boat ride on the Itaya River. The boat moves among the floating houses in the Belén neighborhood, which during the high-water season appear to float on the water. This scenery provides an authentic view of riverside community life and their adaptation to the Amazon environment.
The itinerary continues with a visit to the Manatee Rescue Center, a place dedicated to protecting Amazonian wildlife. Here, visitors learn about the rescue and rehabilitation process for manatees, turtles, and other endangered species. The experience helps understand the importance of conserving these animals to maintain the balance of the Amazon ecosystem.
In the afternoon, the tour proceeds along the Malecón and Boulevard of Iquitos, offering views of the majestic Amazon River. The walk continues to the Plaza de Armas and the colonial houses, buildings that still preserve the elegance of the rubber boom era. This route combines history, architecture, and the lively atmosphere of the city center.
At midday, the experience is completed with lunch at the renowned Mesón Restaurant, where typical Amazonian dishes and fusion cuisine prepared with local ingredients are served. Gastronomy becomes an essential part of the cultural experience of the day.
Finally, around 4:00 p.m., the group returns to the hotel, where the guide briefly explains the activities planned for the next day of the Amazon tour in Iquitos.
On this day, you can have breakfast at the hotel and, once ready, the guide will pick you up at 8:30 a.m. to take you to Puerto Nanay. From there, a new day of exploration begins, boarding a typical jungle boat that will navigate the waters of the Nanay River until reaching the majestic Amazon.
Hotel departure: 9:00 a.m., heading to Puerto Nanay.
During the navigation, you reach a fascinating point where the dark waters of the Nanay River meet the brown waters of the Amazon. This natural phenomenon creates a visible line that separates both colors without immediately mixing, forming a stunning landscape that seems straight out of a painting. Over several kilometers, the contrast of tones shows the strength and beauty of these rivers. It is a perfect moment for photos, enjoying the view, and understanding how nature creates unique spectacles without human intervention.
The next stop is Fundo Pedrito, a space dedicated to the conservation of Amazonian species. Here, you can observe animals up close, such as alligators, turtles, paiches, and piranhas, while learning about their importance in the ecological chain. The site also has crops of local products like banana and camu camu, essential to the regional diet. Walking through this environment allows for connection with wildlife and understanding how local communities coexist respectfully and sustainably with nature.
Next, the tour continues at the Amazon Serpentarium. This place houses various snake species native to the jungle, as well as other reptiles and amphibians that inhabit this ecosystem. Here, visitors learn about their role in natural balance and debunk common myths surrounding these animals. The visit is conducted with all safety measures and guided by experts who explain in a simple way how each species contributes to the proper functioning of the Amazon environment.
One of the most special moments of the day is the visit to the Bora community. Upon arrival, the tribe members warmly welcome visitors and share part of their customs. You can see their traditional clothing, listen to their songs, and participate in typical dances. There is also an opportunity to converse with them, learn their history, and purchase unique handmade crafts. It is a cultural experience that allows a deeper understanding of the diversity of peoples inhabiting the Amazon and how they keep their traditions alive.
To recharge, the tour pauses at a floating restaurant on the river. From there, you enjoy an à la carte lunch with typical Amazonian dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. While savoring these meals, the landscape offers an unparalleled view of the jungle and its waters. It is an ideal moment to relax, chat, and continue enjoying the experience in a completely natural setting.
At the end of the activities, the return journey begins, navigating back to Puerto Nanay. From there, the vehicle continues to the hotel, arriving approximately at 5:00 p.m. There is enough time to rest, review the day’s photos, and prepare calmly for the next adventure.
On this day, you can have breakfast at the hotel and, once ready, the guide will pick you up at 8:30 a.m. From there, we begin the journey to the Yanayacu area, an ideal space to get close to wildlife and experience the Amazon jungle at its fullest. We will board a typical regional boat and navigate the river, enjoying riverside landscapes, small communities, and birds flying overhead.
Hotel departure: 8:30 a.m., heading to Yanayacu.
The first activity is to look for the famous Amazonian dolphins, pink and gray. The boat stops and the engine is turned off, allowing observation of the dolphins in their natural habitat. With some luck, the dolphins approach or jump around, offering a unique spectacle. Additionally, if conditions allow, it is possible to take a refreshing swim in the river waters, enjoying the sensation of being fully immersed in the jungle.
The tour continues to Fundo Neyser, home to rescued monkeys now living freely. These animals are playful and curious, allowing visitors to observe their natural behavior without human intervention. During the visit, the importance of not touching or feeding them is emphasized to respect their autonomy and preserve their well-being.
Later, we arrive at the majestic Lupuna tree, known for its impressive height and enormous roots. Considered sacred by many communities, this location is ideal for memorable photographs and appreciating the magnitude of the Amazon jungle. The stop allows a deep connection with nature and admiration for the strength of these centuries-old trees.
Afterward, a guided jungle walk is conducted, exploring the local flora. During the route, medicinal plants, lianas, mushrooms, and, with some luck, wildlife tracks can be observed. The terrain may be wet, so good footwear is recommended, and caution should be taken while enjoying the natural surroundings.
Before returning, a fun experience takes place: piranha fishing using a rod and traditional bait. Even if no fish are caught, the activity becomes educational and entertaining, perfect for learning about river fauna and enjoying time with fellow participants.
At midday, there is a stop at an Amazon lodge for lunch, rest, and to admire the river view. The experience allows relaxation before starting the next stage of the tour.
After all activities, the return to Iquitos begins. Arrival at the hotel is approximately 4:30 p.m., leaving enough time to rest and prepare for the next day of the Amazon tour in Iquitos.

Hotel departure: 8:30 a.m., heading to the port.
The first stop is at the Yahua native community, where the inhabitants welcome visitors with traditional attire, music, and dances. Here, you can get to know their culture up close, learn a few words of their language, and observe their handmade crafts. The experience allows a deeper understanding of the life and customs of Amazonian peoples.
Next, we arrive at the famous Monkey Island, a sanctuary where various species live in semi-freedom after being rescued. You can observe them closely as they play, jump from tree to tree, and show their curiosity. It is a space that combines fun, education, and direct contact with Amazonian wildlife.

Si tienes alguna pregunta sobre tu turs te ayudan en todoPosted on Max SVerified Iquitos 5 dagars djungeläventyr. Posted on Jean CVerified Great tour of the sacred valley This was a wonderful tour. We learned and saw so much. Our driver was kind and proficient. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. It was easy to arrange and such a cool tour. The stops were all amazing.
